Rachel’s desire for business sparked up while she was travelling around third-world countries for voluntary charity work for seven years. No matter how much effort and her own funds she put in, the poverty-stricken lives would hardly change. She had to admit that she was financially illiterate up to that point.
Her upbringing in Korea did not expose her to financial education. Her father and relatives were successful professors who were heavily influenced by traditional Confucianism, where four social classes existed according to the occupation (the scholarly, agricultural, industrial, and mercantile).
She decided to become an entrepreneur and opened TaxAssist Accountants business with her husband in 2019. Since 2022, she has owned four Mooboo bubble tea shops. She desires to learn, expand and go beyond her own limitations every day. She loves and enjoys being a franchise business owner, knowing that there is so much more to explore.
