John Blaney

After I qualified as an Optometrist in 1995, I decided to spend time working in the NHS and private sector. I wanted to observe best practice in a variety of settings, with particular attention to the customer experience and staff engagement.

I began franchising with Boots Opticians in 2006 and ran 6 stores throughout the Northwest of England. We served a variety of customers from rural towns to busy city Centre stores. I represented the franchise portfolio during negotiations with Boots and helped shape the business strategy, customer offer and supply chain.

A lifelong passion for fitness and health led me to Anytime Fitness Franchising with two locations. We concentrate every day on improving our members’ health and well-being.
