Ben Branson is a KPMG-trained accountant with a decade of CEO experience in telecommunications SMEs. As Finance Director and subsequently CEO, he spearheaded the highly profitable expansion of Mobile Phones Direct, boosting its turnover from £7.9 million in FY12 to £90.3 million by FY17, before departing in January 2017.
He secured private funding to launch KTM Online and acquired the Fonehouse brand in December 2017. Under his guidance, KTM Online (operating as Fonehouse) saw its turnover grow from £1.5 million in FY18 to an anticipated £100 million forecast for the current FY25.
His expertise in finance has been pivotal in ensuring the sustainable growth of both enterprises. He has concentrated on establishing strategic partnerships and enhancing customer service, which resulted in Fonehouse receiving the Mobile News Award for Best Consumer Customer Service in 2024.
