X-Press Legal Services franchisee shortlisted for national award

Linda Mannion, X-Press Legal Services franchisee for Wiltshire, Swindon and South Gloucestershire, has been shortlisted for a prestigious national award.

The British Conveyancing Awards, in their first year, look to celebrate the best in their sector throughout what has been an unusual year, where demand for property, and subsequently conveyancing, has skyrocketed.

Shortlisted for the ‘Collaborator Champion’ award, Linda (pictured) and her team have been recognised for their efforts in keeping the property sector moving in the South West throughout the pandemic.

Lending the help of herself and her team member Frances to her local land charges department since January, the collaboration has helped to bring turnaround times for searches down by 50%. This has also helped to keep the property market moving during a period of huge demand, increased due to the Stamp Duty Holiday, pent up demand and buyers looking for new space after the lockdown.

Linda commented: “I am thrilled that my team and I have been shortlisted for the award. We reached out to the local land charges department during the pandemic, as we knew we could help. By working collaboratively we not only helped our own clients, but we helped the property sector in the South West remain active during a difficult time, keeping many people’s property transactions moving.”

Lynne Lister, managing director of X-Press Legal Services Group commented: “Congratulations to Linda on being shortlisted. Both she and her team really demonstrated how integral the services X-Press offices provide are to the conveyancing sector throughout local areas. Owners form great relationships with their clients, and become a trusted part of a client’s team- playing an important role in the sector.”

X-Press are also giving back by sponsoring a category at this year’s awards; ‘Risen to the Challenge’ Legal Secretary Award. Lynne comments: “After an unusual year, we wanted to help further recognise the hard-work and dedication of the individuals within the conveyancing sector. They have remained committed throughout, stepping up to the challenge and keeping the property market moving throughout the pandemic. Congratulations to all finalists and good luck!”

The X-Press network of 27 franchise offices are looking forward to attending the virtual ceremony on 25th May.
