Wingers in numbers
Along with my brother Dylan and my dad Bill, we launched Wingers during the pandemic from a dark kitchen in Aldridge, Birmingham. Dad’s sandwich business had been forced to close due to the COVID restrictions and we urgently needed to generate some income to support our family.
We set about creating recipes at home and came up with our marinated fresh fried chicken: crunchy on the outside and super succulent to taste. From day one, customers loved our chicken and kept coming back for more!
Fast forward a few years and our humble Wingers launch was so successful that by December 2023, six restaurants had been opened in the Midlands. We now have a franchise pipeline of ten more restaurants set to open in 2024.
In 2023 alone:
- Almost 300,000 wings have flown out of our doors!
- 75,000kg of chicken tenders have been marinated and sold, that’s heavier than a space shuttle!
- 12,000 litres of Buffalo sauce have been consumed.
- We have been able to send 39,000 litres of cooking oil to be recycled, which is almost enough to power an average-sized car for every day in a year.
However, most recently, we were incredibly excited to announce that we have signed an agreement with one of our existing franchisees, Tajinder Choongh and four other investors to expand into London and the Thames Valley. This deal will see the launch 30 restaurants across the region, taking Wingers into further expansion!
We now have further opportunities for new franchisees in various UK locations.
