Walfinch Home Care Harrow and Brent Nominated for National Social Care Leadership Awards

Walfinch Home Care Harrow and Brent have been nominated for several prestigious national Social Care Leadership Awards 2024.

Freya Massingham, Care Manager at Walfinch Harrow and Brent has been nominated for the Young Leader in Social Care Award for those who demonstrate leadership skills, the ability to inspire others, and the implementation of innovative approaches to address the challenges of the social care sector.

Shilpi Verma, franchisee Managing Director and Registered Manager at Walfinch Harrow and Brent has been nominated for the Executive Home Care Leader (Franchise) Award. This award recognises those who deliver consistently high-quality, person-centred care in the community in line with the values of the Franchise. The nominee demonstrates consistent growth and a high level of staff retention, training and development in order to deliver outstanding home care.

Shilpi Verma commented: “It is in an incredible honour to be nominated for these national awards. Our whole team is dedicated to caring for people in their own homes and every day we all go above and beyond to provide the best care possible for our clients and provide valuable services for our local community. It is our passion and we all love what we do, so this recognition is wonderful not only for Freya and myself but for our whole team. These nominations and awards reflect our team’s dedication to delivering exceptional care and their commitment to putting our clients first.”

The Social Care Leadership awards category winners will be chosen by a panel of independent judges, led by Prof. Martin Green, CEO of Care England. The category winners will be announced at a Gala Event on 15 October 2024 at the London Marriott Hotel, Grosvenor Square.

These are not the only awards which Walfinch Harrow and Brent have been recognised for recently. At the end of last year, no less than four members of the Walfinch Harrow and Brent team were chosen as finalists for various categories at London Region of the Great British Care awards and carer Vaibhavi Patel went on to win the London Palliative/End of Life Care Award. Additionally, Walfinch Harrow and Brent has been nominated this year for the Palliative Care Team and Care Manager Award.

Walfinch Home Care Harrow and Brent has a team of 55 carers and offers a range of person-centred care services from elder care to companionship care to more complex care.
