Shuttercraft welcomes their 39th partner business into their franchise network
Husband and wife team Rajesh and Punita Borkhataria have taken on Shuttercraft in the Chelmsford region, becoming the 39th partner business in the Shuttercraft franchise network. Punita said: “As a business, Shuttercraft ticked all the boxes for us as a family, matching our vision and values completely. We see our business having all the ingredients for success with the training provided and the quality shutters we can now offer.”

Rajesh and Punita come from a business background, owning and running a family business of men’s clothing retail in their hometown of Tanzania. After 14 years, the pair decided to move back to the UK at the end of 2020 with their two children.
“We are new to the UK market after being away for so long. Things have changed since we were last here in 2007. After moving, we had Covid uncertainty to deal with also.” “After doing a great deal of research, we quickly realised we need to consider a structured approach to business, as our ideas will take a long time to mature in a very competitive environment. This is when we realised franchising could be perfect solution for us. With a franchise, we will have a defined way of working, a product that is tried and tested in the market, and we can adopt a business model that is ready.”
After over a month of training from our multi-award-winning, in-house trainer Mark Duwell of S:CRAFT, and support from their local Business Development Manager, the pair launched their territory in June.
