Resales bring big opportunities at Countrywide Signs

Opportunity is knocking at Countrywide Signs with a number of franchise resales available as owners look to realise their investment and reap the dividends of their years of hard work.

Research from the British Franchise Association suggests around 30% of all new franchisees take on a resale, and it’s easy to understand why: an existing customer base means income from day one and a local reputation to build from and quickly develop the business.

And at Countrywide Signs, established relationships with national clients – including strong links with the biggest online estate agency brands – means franchisees are provided with national account work by head office to go alongside their local customers.

Lee Guestford invested in a resale in West Bromwich and says he has seen significant advantages in doing so. He explained: “The previous owner has really helped, he spent four days with me to get used to the new routine. Having bought an established territory, I immediately had clients to keep happy.

“The opportunity and business model was also easy to understand, the market was clear cut – and future issues such as how online estate agents would not affect the business model were addressed early on… the honesty from the team convinced me it was the right opportunity.”

Countrywide Signs director, Martin Attwood QFP, said: “As a long-established franchise network, not only do we deliver exceptional support for incoming franchisees – we’re also accomplished at helping our franchise owners sell their business when the time is right for them. It’s a pleasure to see people rewarded from the efforts they’ve put in to grow the business.

“A resale is a big opportunity for someone new to come in and drive further growth, backed by our systems, national accounts and comprehensive support. We’ve seen time and time again the positive impact that fresh eyes and minds bring to their business.

“With current resales available in Northampton, Boston, Oxford, Bury St Edmunds and Stamford, we look forward to welcoming new franchise owners and helping them to achieve their ambitions to run thriving businesses in a growing marketplace.”
