Radfield network presents its first Central London franchise

Radfield Home Care has recently welcomed another new franchise partner into its ever-growing network, launching in Radfield’s Camden, Islington & Haringey territory.

Owner of Radfield Home Care Camden, Glyn Clark, had a successful career in financial services for over 40 years which allowed him to live and work overseas in New York, Zurich and Tokyo before returning to Central London.

Glyn’s pathway into home care however, is a consequence of owning and operating a mobile home park for older people, which brought the challenges that the older communities were facing very much to his attention.

Glyn comments: “Older people living in a good mobile home park can have a wonderful life-enriching experience. Sometimes, in contrast, London can be an unforgiving environment and particularly challenging for older people. I strongly believe that we can make a meaningful difference to peoples’ lives in terms of helping them charter older life in such a large metropolis.”

Following a wealth of research into the home care marketplace, Glyn decided franchising with an established brand was his best route to market and starting his new business, especially without any prior experience in domiciliary care.

“It was important to have the support network, expertise and systems that a franchise can provide,” Glyn explains. “I carried out a tremendous amount of due-diligence on seven providers to come to the conclusion that Radfield was the right choice for me. I liked the values of Radfield over and above the alternatives. I also liked the challenge of opening the first Radfield franchise in Central London.”

Radfield’s franchisor and founder, Dr Hannah MacKechnie comments: “We are delighted to welcome Glyn into the Radfield network. His extensive career and experience working with and supporting older people will undoubtedly stand him in excellent stead for establishing an exceptional home care business in the Central London area.

“Glyn is currently working with the support team to recruit his Registered Care Manager and prepare his business structure ready for launching over the coming months. We are very excited to support him along his journey.”

Set to launch in late 2021, Glyn will be delivering high quality care services to older people within the Camden, Islington and Haringey area. With an ageing population, and the majority of home care clients being over the age of 65, Radfield Home Care’s business model specialises in servicing the growing demand of care needs for older people within the private marketplace.
