Franchise partners with Rugby League Cares

Business franchise The Alternative Board (TAB) has announced a new partnership with charity Rugby League Cares.

Rugby League Cares’ mission is to enhance and enrich people’s lives through the power and positive influence of Rugby League.  The charity will be working with TAB to deliver ‘Offload’, a campaign focusing on the health and wellbeing of business leaders who are members of the franchise.

The programme will be delivered virtually to TAB’s franchisees over the next two months before being offered to the 400+ SMEs that are TAB members across the UK.

“We are absolutely honoured to be partnering with Rugby League Cares,” commented Ed Reid, MD of TAB (UK).

“A team from the charity ran a fantastic interactive session at our recent annual UK conference.  This highlighted to our franchisees the importance of ensuring the SME leaders they support are prioritising their own physical and mental wellbeing alongside that of their employees.

“As a franchise that is built around supporting business leaders in both their professional and personal capacities, Rugby League Cares aligns perfectly with us.  Supporting SME owners across the UK, we understand the pressures they are under and the importance of good mental health to running a successful business.  We are confident this programme will deliver tangible benefits to our members and can’t wait to see the results.”

Chris Rostron, head of Rugby League Cares added: “Offload is a programme of mental fitness fixtures, designed to help participants build a more positive mindset and generate a set of skills which enable them to cope better in challenging times. Each of the fixtures includes an introduction to a mental fitness area with group debate and discussion, followed by the delivery of a new skill or coping mechanism which can then be transferred into day-to-day life.  It has already made a huge difference to the rugby community and we can’t wait to see how it transfers to SME leaders working equally hard off the pitch!”

TAB is the world’s largest franchise system providing peer advisory boards and business coaching for business owners. TAB franchisee opportunities are currently open across the UK and are ideally suited to those with a background in business.  TAB is seeking professionals including consultants, coaches, business owners and senior employees who are looking to combine a passion for business with the drive to help others to succeed.  Harnessing their existing professional skills and expertise, TAB franchisees can transform local businesses.

TAB franchisees enjoy incredible flexibility and independence with unparalleled training and support.  As a business service, a TAB franchise has very little overheads and many franchisees choose to work from home.  TAB even takes care of the accounting so franchisees can enjoy a better work/life balance.
