Financial High-Flyers Join Select Appointments Franchise

As the Recruitment Agency Expo – the UK’s number one recruitment industry event – kicks off in London this week, leading recruitment consultancy Select Appointments is making its own waves in the City.

Chris Keeble and Louisa Murray have just started their Select Appointments recruitment franchise a stone’s throw from the Bank of England. The firm is specialising in city and financial positions ranging from administration to junior traders and senior managers.

Chris, a qualified chartered accountant, was previously finance director of a number of multimillion pound companies in the IT, energy and digital marketing sectors. Louisa has had a long and successful career in the City as a director at Barclays Capital and as an entrepreneur in the renewable energy field.

“We were both at a crossroads in our careers and looking to start our own business. We looked at a number of different franchise opportunities but recruitment stood out because we both had considerable experience of recruiting and employing people in the corporate world. We met with Select and liked the people and felt it was a very professional set-up” said Chris.

Louisa added:

We have got off to a flying start and made our first few appointments already. We are now looking to recruit another experienced consultant.”

“Although there is a lot competition in the City for the recruitment sector we believe the Select methodology – ‘recruitment as it should be’ – and its well respected brand gives us an edge. We are very ambitious and we already have plans to open other branches in the City and West London.”

Graeme McKinnon, managing director of Select Appointments said: “We are delighted that Chris and Louisa have joined us as franchise owners. They both have substantial commercial experience and bags of ambition. The City is pretty much ‘virgin territory’ for us and I am very excited to see the inroads they will make in the financial sector.”

Select Appointments is a leading recruitment franchise network and is seeking ambitious individuals to join them as franchise owners with opportunities available throughout the UK.
