Exclusive conference to reveal how to discover the secrets to successful multi-unit & master franchising

Ambitious entrepreneurs will learn how to leverage the full potential of franchising at the Multi-unit & Master Franchise Conference at Olympia London on Friday 2 February.

Whether you are a franchisee looking to expand, a business owner looking to invest in multiple units from day one, or a potential master franchisee, this is an event that cannot be missed.

Dedicated to shining a light on multi-unit and master franchising and exploring the opportunities and rewards of owning a diverse portfolio of businesses, the conference will feature panel discussions with inspiring franchisees and industry experts.

In addition to gaining first-hand insight into how to stay ahead of their competition, delegates will explore how best to adapt, evolve and successfully grow their businesses.

The conference is the largest and longest-running event for multi-unit operators in the UK, and this year is no different with franchisees from leading brands including Starbucks, Marks & Spencer, EE, Anytime Fitness and more all featuring on panels and networking with attendees.

A highlight of the day will be a Lead interview with Alok Yadav. Alok is an enterprising figure with an inspiring journey who began his franchise career at Domino’s upon arriving in Britain in 2007. Rising from a junior member of staff to overseeing operations as an area manager, Alok’s entrepreneurial spirit led to the founding of Kbeverage, a Starbucks franchisee, in 2016.

Alok’s journey stands as a testament to resilience and entrepreneurial spirit, transitioning from a middle-class upbringing in India to pioneering success in the UK’s franchising landscape, with Kbeverage proudly standing today with 50 Starbucks stores—a remarkable achievement and a direct result of Alok’s hard work and business insight.

Existing franchisees looking to expand their portfolio or experienced entrepreneurs interested in investing in multiple sites will have plenty of opportunities to hear from successful representatives on how to take the next successful step on their franchise journey. The conference will begin with a panel discussion on creating a diverse multi-unit franchise portfolio and features Harris Aslam, Sean Geddes and Kyle McEuen.

Harris is MD of Glenshire Group, a Scottish family-owned conglomerate operating multiple sites for Greens Retail, Scotland’s leading independent convenience store chain and 17 Pizza Hut sites. Sean is an experienced multi-unit operator, starting his franchise journey with TNT Express Worldwide before moving on to operate 15 Domino’s pizza stores. He now operates 14 Starbucks in the East of Scotland and has recently acquired the licence to build and operate the Marks & Spencer food convenience format throughout Scotland. Kyle is an international multi-unit franchisee who owns and runs Primrose Schools in the U.S. with his wife and has experience advising and supporting both franchisees and franchisors.

This year’s master franchise element of the conference offers a chance for delegates to understand the unique opportunities available when owning a master licence. Discussing and sharing their insights, Enrique Kaufer will be representing IHOP and Applebee’s and Bimal Bjohani and Joseph Kim of Raining Berries and Dae Gee Korean BBQ respectively. Their expertise with established international brands and operating as master franchisees will provide attendees with an understanding of how to develop their portfolios and gain more success in their next business ventures.

Tracy Shah, Director at Venture Marketing Group who organises the conference, comments:

“Multi-unit franchising is on the increase, and it’s easy to understand why. Franchising offers an optimised route to business success and the nature of its format means this success can be multiplied exponentially.
“The Conference combines real-world examples of the potential of multi-unit and master franchising with insights and advice from leading operators so that attendees leave with a thorough understanding of why and how they could expand their business empire.”
