Established Business Owners Take on New Challenge in Southampton

The owners of ServiceMaster Clean Southampton, a domestic and commercial carpet and specialist cleaning franchise, have invested in a second business which offers domestic home cleaning services.

Kevin and Anna Riley have managed their ServiceMaster Clean franchise since 2002 and purchased the Merry Maids business from its former owners in early January. Merry Maids Southampton West currently serves over 80 customers across the region and with new owners in place, is set to grow quickly in 2015.

Kevin said: “We’ve always wanted to expand our business and when the Merry Maids opportunity arose, we decided to snap it up.

“We pride ourselves on the quality of our customer service and this is integral to running a successful domestic cleaning business. We have retained all of the existing staff and hope to add some more to the team in the very near future.”

Anna added: “The opportunity landed just at the right time and we are excited about the new challenge this brings us. We’ll utilise the experience we’ve gained over 12 years and our local knowledge of the area and its residents to offer the best in domestic cleaning services.”

Both ServiceMaster Clean and Merry Maids are franchises of ServiceMaster Ltd, based in Leicestershire. ServiceMaster was established in the UK in 1959 and was a founder member of the British Franchise Association (bfa).
