Driver Hire on for double at bfa HSBC Franchise Awards
Driver Hire is up for two awards at this year’s bfa HSBC British Franchise Awards. It’s been shortlisted for ‘Franchisor of the Year’ – the top overall award. In addition, Tom Williams, owner of Driver Hire Torbay, is a finalist in the ‘Next Generation’ award category, which celebrates the achievements of franchisees aged 30 and under.
Known as the ‘Oscars’ of the franchising industry, the awards evening takes place on 24th November in Birmingham. It’s a flagship event in the franchising calendar and, this year, attracted a record number of entries across all categories.
Driver Hire will be battling it out against six other franchise brands to take home the coveted ‘Franchisor of the Year’ accolade. Tom Williams is up against four other young franchisees in his ‘Next Generation’ category.
Commenting on this year’s awards, Pip Wilkins, CEO of the British Franchising Association, said: “To be announced as a finalist for this award is a huge achievement and a real testament to franchisors and franchisees’ hard work and determination. Each year, these awards let us show that we’ve noticed their efforts, we’ve recognised their dedication and resilience and we are thankful for their commitment. A big congratulations to both Driver Hire and Tom Williams.”
