Driver Hire collect national marketing award
Driver Hire – the leading transport & logistics recruitment franchise – has won ‘Best Website’ in the 2019 Franchise Marketing Awards. This success builds on investment in the website and a project to redesign it.
The new website was launched in May 2018 following its ground-up redevelopment. Driver Hire franchisees were fully involved in the project from the start. A key focus of the website’s redesign was to streamline the user experience for drivers, making the process of finding and applying for a job as simple as possible.
“People are the ‘raw material’ on which franchisees grow their business. For them, our website is a vital business tool; its primary purpose is to attract jobseekers.” says Chris Chidley, Driver Hire’s Chief Executive. “From a customer perspective the site’s content, imagery and language all combine to make our specialism in transport & logistics absolutely clear. The website delivers an unmistakeable unique selling point for our franchise network.”
“Analysis shows that 80% of all online applications to Driver Hire franchises are via mobile – perhaps unsurprising given the nature of our workforce,” Chris continues. “So our revamped site is fully responsive and mobile compatible. A single click takes candidates to a list of live job opportunities. Once they’ve created an account, one more click enables them to apply for any job.”
Since its launch Driver Hire franchisees have benefited from a trebling of monthly candidate applications, helping them to recruit, find work for drivers and meet the needs of our customers.
Another feature is a direct link to ‘Indeed.co.uk’, the UK’s biggest online jobsite. This innovation means that every job posted on driverhire.co.uk automatically appears on Indeed, making the website a massively efficient recruitment resource for Driver Hire’s nationwide network.
Commenting on Driver Hire’s winning website the FMA judges said: “This site seamlessly serves two distinct audiences – those looking for staff and those looking for work – helping Driver Hire grow their business.”
