Driver Hire celebrates further franchise success
Leading recruitment franchisor Driver Hire has further proof that it is one of the UK’s top franchise businesses, collecting bronze in the ‘Franchisor of the Year’ category at the 2018 bfa HSBC Franchise Awards.
This was the 12th time in the last 13 years that Driver Hire has been a finalist and an award winner in three out of the last four years. Olympic and world track cycling champion, Sir Chris Hoy, presented the awards which took place at Birmingham’s International Convention Centre. Driver Hire shared the podium with McDonald’s Restaurants and Agency Express, a leading ‘For Sale’ board company.
Franchising for over 30 years, Driver Hire’s nationwide network of over 100 offices supplies temporary and permanent staff to any business or organisation that operates commercial vehicles. As well as supplying staff, other services include driver training and driver risk management systems. The average turnover at a Driver Hire franchise is more than £1.1m, that’s more than three times the national franchise average of £378,400.
The company’s success is centred on its relationships with its franchisee partners and a proven business model. Ethics are an essential element of the sales process and every effort is made to ensure that prospective franchisees have the skills to succeed. They are given access to all business areas and insight into running a Driver Hire office before they make any decision to invest.
“Our franchisees make an average net profit of more £130,000 a year,” says Graham Duckworth, Driver Hire’s Franchise Sales Director. “All of which confirms the value and potential business rewards of a Driver Hire franchise. In many ways our figures speak for themselves, but it’s still nice to be recognised as one of the best franchisors out there. It’s a huge achievement and will certainly take the business to even greater heights.”
Pip Wilkins, bfa Chief Executive added: “Every year it’s great to see the excellent work our members demonstrated through their entries. The quality has never been higher with a wide range of businesses represented. It was an extremely hard job for the judges to separate them. Our congratulations go to all our winners.”
