Double celebration as Walfinch nominated for two Thames Valley Business and Community awards

Walfinch, the national homecare provider, has been successfully nominated in this year’s Thames Valley Business and Community Awards.

The business is a contender in the Business of the Year Award, while Walfinch’s founder and CEO, Amrit Dhaliwal, has been named in the Business Leader of The Year category.

The awards, which enter their tenth year since launching in 2012, are designed to recognise business achievement, whilst also raising money for a designated regional charity.

Amrit Dhaliwal, CEO of Walfinch said: “To be nominated in two categories of the Thames Valley Business and Community Awards is a real honour. Having established Walfinch at the end of 2019, we have worked really hard through the pandemic to establish a national homecare brand that provides vital home-based care to people across the country. It’s been so well received and today, we have 26 franchisees, employ more than 1,000 people in our network, and are on track to achieve our ambitious growth plans of 100 branches in next five years.

“There is a huge need for our services, and having seen a gap in the market to provide valuable, quality and consistent domiciliary care, I am delighted that our contribution has been recognised with these two award nominations.”

The award ceremony takes place on 30th November 2022 at The Hilton Hotel in Reading, Berkshire. Profits generated from the awards will be donated to a designated charity, which this year is Cherishers 811 CIC – a charity that helps disenfranchised people in society gain meaningful employment.
