Cathy Moseley of challenger food brand Boundless to give keynote presentation at The National Franchise Exhibition

Free event set to fuel entrepreneurial ambition at the NEC, Birmingham, on 15 & 16 February 2019

Offering the chance to discover the lucrative world of franchising, The National Franchise Exhibition brings franchise business opportunities spanning all sectors to the Midlands for aspiring entrepreneurs to explore. Visitors will also find a goldmine of business support, advice and inspiration across the two days.

Designed to equip existing and aspiring business owners with the knowledge and skills to build a flourishing venture, the Growing Your Own Business Conference is co-located with the exhibition and is free to attend.

A true example of entrepreneurial spirit and determination, Cathy Moseley of the bold and refreshing new food brand, Boundless, will give a keynote talk at the conference on Friday 15 February.

Cathy is a passionate entrepreneur who began Boundless to challenge current snacking trends and provide alternative and unique treats using unconventional flavours. Boundless uses ancient Aztec and Aborigine techniques of soaking and baking nuts and seeds to unlock their nutrients for better digestion, and the products are vegan and gluten-free.

Originally sold from her street food market stall, Cathy has succeeded in getting Boundless activated nuts and seeds stocked by the likes of Fenwick and Ocado.

In her keynote presentation, Diary of a small business owner, Cathy will share what her average week looks like, revealing the highs and lows of her journey and things she wishes she’d known at the start. Cathy comments:

“The voyage I’ve been on from making and selling small batches of snacks directly to customers, to scaling up with a manufacturer and working with major retail buyers, has taught me a lot about what it takes to get a business up and running.

“It will be my pleasure to share some of the key things I’ve learned along the way with other business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs, so that the steps to success become clearer for them.”

As well as inspiring keynote presentations, the Growing Your Own Business Conference offers a programme of workshops in which up-to-date advice will be shared by experts in sales, marketing, crowdfunding, business planning and management. There is also a hub for networking and one-to-one consultations with experts in business growth.

Visitors can also access the exhibition which showcases franchise brands including Platinum Property Partners, Radfield Home Care, Really Awesome Coffee, Boogie Beat Music & Movement and Zerodrytime. The exhibition also is free to attend, and all exhibiting brands have been assessed and accredited by the British Franchise Association (bfa).
