British Franchise Association and Venture Marketing Group announce new partnership

The British Franchise Association (bfa) and Venture Marketing Group (VMG) have announced that they have entered into a landmark new Partnership to work in joint collaboration on both VMG’s Franchise portfolio and the bfa’s educational and promotional agenda.

The bfa will continue to exclusively support VMG’s market-leading franchise exhibitions. The exhibitions will feature VMG-accredited franchise brands, with a continued focus on delivering high-quality franchise opportunities and a trusted educational environment for potential franchisees.

The partnership reinforces the positive and long-standing relationship between the bfa and VMG and will be in place for a minimum of three years. The bfa will play an active advisory role in the development and growth of The Franchise Exhibitions and both the bfa and its members will continue to benefit from exposure in VMG’s large-scale marketing campaigns. VMG will support and work with the bfa to promote the benefits of business format franchising to as wide an audience as possible, and will also provide opportunities to do so right across its extensive media portfolio to include an emphasis on next generation education.

Commenting on the new partnership, Pip Wilkins, CEO, bfa said, “This partnership reflects the changing market and provides a much-needed opportunity to lead on education, innovate and evolve through a far broader approach. Our collaboration will create opportunities for growth and development for our members and for the franchise industry as a whole and provide that much-needed trusted environment for prospect due diligence. VMG’s reputation for delivering high-quality franchise exhibitions is second to none and the bfa are delighted to support these events. We are looking forward to the virtual event in May and welcoming the industry to the NEC on the 1st and 2nd October for the return of the face-to-face National Franchise Exhibition”.

John Hancock, Managing Director, Venture Marketing Group added, “The bfa and VMG have worked together for many years and this new relationship represents a highly positive evolution of our partnership. Our objectives are closely aligned, and we look forward to developing new initiatives and growing our exhibitions alongside the bfa. Franchisors have been telling us that they are eager to return to face-to-face exhibitions which are a central part of their franchisee recruitment strategy. The preparations for the flagship National Franchise Exhibition this autumn are well under way and we are looking forward to welcoming everyone back to the NEC on its traditional annual dates of early October. We are working closely with the venue and suppliers to facilitate a safe and effective return to in-person events. As always, our focus will be on delivering high-quality visitors and exhibitors”.
