Belvoir Completes Sixth Acquisition of 2014

Rapid expansion for Belvoir Leeds North West

Belvoir is delighted to announce that Glenn Broadwell, owner of Belvoir Leeds North West, has successfully completed on the acquisition of Lettings @ Victoria Mills, in Shipley, West Yorkshire. The acquisition of 154 managed properties effectively doubled the size of the Belvoir Leeds North West portfolio overnight.

This is the sixth acquisition for Belvoir in 2014 and demonstrates the company’s commitment to expanding its coverage across the UK, and helping franchise owners to grow their businesses.

This is a very exciting opportunity and I am delighted that everything has completed, and grateful to Belvoir and the acquisition team for all the help and support that I received throughout the process” – Glenn Broadwell, Belvoir Leeds NW

Glen said: “This is a unique acquisition of a bespoke agency that manages 154 apartments at Victoria Mill. Victoria Mill is a development of just over 400 apartments on a five-acre site on the buffer zone of the World Heritage Site of Saltaire. Many of these apartments were bought as property investments and in recent years I have been closely involved with tenant referrals and the management of these apartments. As a result of this, when the owner of Lettings @ Victoria decided to sell she approached me and, with the help of Belvoir, the acquisition completed on 1st December.

“This acquisition has effectively doubled the size of my business overnight. We will be retaining the on-site office at Victoria Mills for the convenience of landlords and tenants, but the administration side of the business will move to my original office. I am looking forward to continuing to provide landlords and tenants at Victoria Mill with the outstanding customer service that Belvoir is able to offer. I have already taken on one new staff member and will probably consider further recruitment in the New Year.”

Mike Goddard, Chairman and CEO of Belvoir said: “I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate Glenn on his acquisition, which will take his business to a whole new level, whilst also strengthening brand Belvoir in the North West and nationally.

“We are delighted to be able to support the expansion of Glenn’s business through the Group’s acquisitions funding programme. Throughout 2014 Belvoir has extended over £2 million worth of loans to support six acquisitions by the network and we are continuing to pursue further growth opportunities across the UK. “

Recent activity within the Belvoir network brings the total number of outlets around the UK to 160.
