Bluebird Care win at the workingmums.co.uk Top Franchise Awards!

Bluebird Care, the UK’s leading homecare provider, have won The Franchise Award for Innovation at the workingmums.co.uk 2nd Top Franchise Awards 2017.

The workingmums.co.uk awards took place in an online ceremony on Tuesday 16th May 2017, with Bluebird Care being a finalist in the innovation category. This is the award/s second year of running, recognising franchisors that are helping women combine business success and family life.

The Top Franchise Awards had 5 categories:

  • Supportive Franchise Award
  • The Family Friendly Franchise Award
  • The Franchise Award for Innovation
  • Best Newcomer Award
  • Franchisee of the Year Award

Judging this year’s awards were:

  • Kendall Braddock – franchise director, HSBC Bank plc
  • Amy Leite – associate solicitor, Aquabridge Law
  • Griselda Togobo – managing director, Forward Ladies
  • Gillian Nissim – founder, workingmums.co.uk

23 franchises were shortlisted along with 30 franchisees and the winner of each category was then put forward with the chance to win the Overall Top Franchise Award.

Those shortlisted for The Franchise Award for Innovation alongside Bluebird Care had to demonstrate that they had innovative policies and practices, helping franchisees to grow and improve their businesses.

On awarding Bluebird Care, the judges commented:

Bluebird Care presented a gold standard for other franchises. They were leaders in their industry in terms of their investment in technology to support franchisees and the elderly people they were caring for. It was both innovative in a business and social sense and its innovations could be adapted by franchisors across the board.”

Duncan Berry, chief operating officer of Bluebird Care commented:
