Walfinch CEO Named as a Great British Care Award Winner

Amrit Dhaliwal, CEO of home care franchise Walfinch has been named as a winner of the Three ‘R’s award for RecruitmentRetention and Recognition at the South East Great British Care Awards ceremony, held at the Hilton Metropole Brighton this week.

The Great British Care Awards (care-awards.co.uk) are a series of regional events throughout the UK and are a celebration of excellence across the care sector. The awards pay tribute to those who have demonstrated outstanding excellence within their field of work.

The three ‘R’s category recognised those who have adopted an innovative approach to Recruitment, Retention and Recognition. Finalists demonstrated examples of strategies that recruited on values, promoted diversity and inclusion, valued and recognised excellence in the workplace and retained a highly motivated and skilled workforce.

Amrit Dhaliwal, CEO, Walfinch said:

“I was really honoured to win, but the truth is that it’s everyone around me that’s a winner. My whole team who work tirelessly to show how much all our staff really mean to us, all the time.”
“There are new programs that they develop, there are difficult conversations that they have, there are weekends and evenings that they give up and heaps more. I thank you all for everything you do.”
“There are over 1.5m care staff in the UK, they stay in care because they are amazing and because people make them feel like they are amazing. Awards like these recognise all their hard work.”

Walfinch is a growing national franchised brand which offers tailored, flexible home care for a range of specialised needs, including elderly care services. It has over 30 offices across the country owned by franchisee Managing Directors who each work with their own team of dedicated carers, providing quality home-based care, support and companionship services supporting people to continue to live within their communities.
