Dream Doors wins national award at 2015 bfa Franchisor of the Year Awards

Gosport-based kitchen makeover specialists, Dream Doors, has been nationally recognised at the prestigious 2015 bfa HSBC Franchisor of the Year Awards.

Dream Doors’ managing director Troy Tappenden and franchise recruitment specialist Alex Waite were presented with the Franchisee Recruitment of the Year Award by hosts Andy Brattesani, head of franchising at HSBC; Cathryn Hayes, head of business support at the bfa; and Sean Hammond, classified advertising manager for Express Newspapers; at a black-tie dinner at the ICC, Birmingham.

Troy Tappenden, said: “I’m absolutely delighted to get this recognition for the work we do in ensuring our franchisees are the right match for the business, and therefore the right fit for our customers.

“Dream Doors isn’t successful unless our franchisees are successful, and that’s why we’re so selective about who we let into the network. This award confirms the value of our processes.”

Judges looked for a business that demonstrated effective, responsible franchisee recruitment and were impressed with Dream Doors’ ethical and honest approach to finding and retaining franchisees.

Cathryn Hayes, who chaired the judging panel, added: “Troy and his team have a commanding grasp of how to attract and assess the right individuals for the network. The resulting growth of the network, both individually and collectively, demonstrates the power of insisting on the highest standards when it comes to franchisee recruitment.”

Andy Brattesani said:

Dream Doors has a highly impressive approach to taking on new franchisees. The open disclosure of information every step of the way ensures a clear and honest two-way process between prospective franchisee and franchisor. Finding the right people is firmly at the heart of the business.”

The British Franchise association (bfa) annually recognises the very best of the UK franchisors. The five category award winners were selected on their ability to showcase their achievements within the diverse franchise sector.
