What did you do before franchising?
After completing my Masters degree, following the recession I wasn’t able to get a well-paid job. I tried getting into IT, but with no work experience it was difficult.
So I finally decided to look into franchising.
What drew you to franchising and Club Learning in particular?
I have always wanted to be my own boss. Franchising is an easier way to start because you just follow the business model of the company. As a parent, I already loved the Club Learning method, so I was comfortable to go ahead and buy the franchise. Knowing that there are many parents out there seeking extra help for their children.
How did you find the initial training and support?
It was very impressive – one-to-one training, where you are free to ask any questions. Lots of help is given during the start-up process.
What is the ongoing support like?
It is excellent; there are always people to provide help at all times.
How have you found trading so far? What benefits are there to working in this industry?
The trading has been a good experience for me. It requires hard work, but the results are very rewarding. Also you have fun with the children and you get to meet many people.
In what ways has your life changed?
I wish I had started earlier than I did, because now I feel I am living and
leading a promising life. I get respect from students and parents as well. Some of my students have started getting improved results and I look forward to affecting more lives in the future.
Would you recommend franchising to others? In particular franchising in the children’s sector?
Definitely yes, it’s an excellent investment with great return and rewarding experience.
