Auditel’s 22nd National Conference
Auditel’s 22nd National Conference took place last week at Chesford Grange near Kenilworth. The annual event provides the business’ network with an opportunity to come together to share ideas and best practice. It is just one element of Auditel’s ongoing award-winning training and support programme. The event also gives Head Office the chance to update their franchisees on developments and progression within the business and to look to the year ahead.
Franchisees from Aberdeen to Cornwall attended, being warmly welcomed by Fiona Steels, Auditel’s Head of Support and Recruitment. Chris Allison, Managing Director and Founder, then spoke about innovations within the business model that had taken place during 2017, supporting future growth by helping the network win more business in a wider range of markets. The Business Cost Area Leaders then shared their thoughts on ongoing opportunities within their respective marketplaces.
Throughout the day, franchisees attended workshops from colleagues, partners and suppliers, covering a range of topics from cyber-attacks to tips on closing sales. There was also a lighter session with motivational speaker John Hotowka, who used magic for a fresh perspective on Auditel’s business model.
The evening’s events were compered by professional after dinner speaker Barry Williams. Franchisees and the Head Office team were joined by nearly 50 Gold and Platinum sponsors of Auditel’s Supplier Exhibition for a black tie gala dinner, and a raffle in aid of this year’s nominated charity, the Wooden Spoon. There was also an awards ceremony, recognising the achievements of individual franchisees:
- Consultant’s Consultant – Chris Barrett
- Positive Contribution – Paul Foster
- Contribution to the Franchise – Nigel Collins
- Business Performer – Gillian Gibbon
- Franchisee of the Year – Mike Andrews
Chris Allison summed up the event by saying: “Our National Conferences are a great opportunity for our network to come together. We enjoy hearing about the successes of the previous year and discussing exciting opportunities for the future. I want to pass my thanks to all involved in making it such a fantastic event.”
Nearly £1700 was raised through the raffle. The charity was proposed by franchisee Dick Bird; to make further donations, visit: https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/dickbirdwspoon
