Flock celebrates another year of success at annual conference

It was success all-round for EweMove as over 150 delegates from across its UK network gathered together at the prestigious Belfry <at the weekend> for the agency’s annual conference.

Franchisees from as far as Aylesbury to Aberdeen, along with members of the head office team from its Yorkshire-based ‘Sheep Pen’, attended the event which also marked the fifth anniversary of the original hybrid brand.

Managing Director Nick Neill, who took up the senior post in 2017 having launched and operated the hugely successful York franchise for three years, led the proceedings and shared details of EweMove’s key successes over the past 12 months – including the opening of new flagship branches, the rolling out of industry-first initiatives, and soaring franchisee commissions.

Also in attendance were industry figures Peter Knight from The Property Academy, James Sinclair from Entrepreneurs Network, and Alex Rose from Hometrack who, respectively, shared guidance on what it takes to be an exceptional agent, the secret to creating a multi-million pound business, as well as insight into the wider property market.

A glittering awards ceremony was the focus of the evening’s proceedings, with franchisees recognised across a number of categories including Most Completions, Best Newcomer, and Franchisee of the Year.  The latter was won by Chris Walthall of EweMove’s Leek and Hanley franchise, who launched the business in 2014 with no industry experience and who has gone on to operate one of the network’s most successful businesses.

Nick commented: “This really was a fantastic event which saw our franchisees from across the country come together to celebrate what has been yet another remarkable year for us as a brand.  The industry as a whole is continuing to face a number of challenges, but whilst other agencies are reporting stagnation and recurring profit warnings, we’re not only seeing our network grow in numbers month by month, but we’re witnessing the continued profitability of our franchisees across the UK.

“With our unique hybrid model offering our on-the-ground agents with the ability to provide a personal face-to-face service on a local level whilst benefitting from cutting-edge technology and comprehensive support via our national operations centre, we’re in an exceptionally strong position for future growth and profitability and are very much looking forward to marking further successes over the months ahead.”
