Papa John’s to Cater for Caerphilly
23 September 2016: Leading pizza franchise, Papa John’s, has announced the opening of its latest store in Caerphilly in the Welsh Valleys. The new outlet will employ 20 local staff and be run by school friends turned franchisees: John O’Brien and brothers Clif and Dale Roberson who all originate from Merthyr Tydfil.
“Because we know the region well, we always believed towns within the Valleys would savour the Papa John’s business model,” confirms Clif Roberson. “Caerphilly is a good location just 15 minutes from Cardiff and close to our other successful stores in Pontypridd and Cwmbran. It is easy to find on the ring-road and has good parking and access for walk-in trade as well as for delivery: ready for us to cater for those phone and internet orders quickly!
“The Caerphilly opening is an exciting move but only part of our larger plan,” continues Clif. “We now run four Papa John’s and a fifth is also ‘on the menu’ before the end of the year. In addition to providing much needed local employment, we can now satisfy demand from Cardiff commuters and families, serving-up our top quality pizza made with the freshest ingredients for a better natural flavour.
“Papa John’s special incentive deal designed for franchisees opening new stores has been particularly helpful to enable us to invest and expand so rapidly,” continues Clif. “The company gave us a helping hand with deals on equipment, discounted fees and marketing to get us off to a great start. Trade in all our stores has been way beyond our expectations and we have been quick to taste success with Papa John’s.”
