A recession-proof management business opportunity!

There has been an increase in the level of property transactions in the UK as well as a stronger Consumer and Business sentiment. Due to this activity and growing confidence in the UK the removals industry has grown by 7% in the 5 years thru to 2015 since the recession. With the continued improvement in the housing market and elevated level of business confidence in 2015 – 2016 it is expected to push revenue up by 3% year on year to reach £1.2 billion by 2020!

Removals in the UK is a fragmented market, 81.5% are made up of small independent players, who often do not have proven best practices in place. There is no clear middle market leader and the big players have less than a 20% share!

Being a Franchise owner with TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® you will benefit from running your own local business with a national and international brand, support system and model that is tried and tested to give your customers confidence in YOU! 96% of our customers would refer us to friends and family! See what they have to say here: www.twomenandatruck.co.uk/reviews/

You will have your own exclusive territory that includes on average:

  • 500,000 people in the territory
  • 200,000 households in the territory?

How does that help my business?
National Statistics UK confirms that 10% of the population moves each year, which with the above people and households in your territory this would equate to 20,000 moves in that territory per year! And people are moving whatever is happening in the economy!

The British Association of Removers (BAR) confirms that 90% of all moves are local and regional whilst 10% are long distance. Based on these statistics, this means 18,000 of the moves will be local or regional.

Industry sources advise that the average charge per move is circa £500 across the UK. So if you handled just 2% of those 18,000 moves, at the average charge, that would be a turnover of £180,000.

You will appreciate these are national figures and statistics, and cannot guarantee that any individual territory will achieve these precise figures. However, there is a higher chance of success as part of the TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® franchise network, providing you follow the systems and model we have in place, along with the right attitude, determination and hard work!
