Neighbourly promotes excellence by raising the level of quality and standards across its UK brands

To promote excellence in the UK, Neighbourly®, part of the world’s largest franchisor of home service brands, is raising the bar for quality and standards by streamlining its business processes and systems to increase efficiency and consistency across its six brands.

Over the next coming months, Neighbourly will be looking to ensure all its UK brands are compliant and achieve ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 18001 (International Organisation for Standardisation) accreditations in recognition of its commitment to protect the environment, provide products and services that meet customer and regulatory requirements and occupational health and safety.

In April, a new compliance manager was also appointed to assist the business with all the regulatory requirements and execution of compliant standards. Based in the Oxfordshire office, Graham Garrett-Lang will be responsible for the management, coordination and monitoring of all systems and will ensure that the business has the correct processes and governance in place.

Jeff Meyers, Vice President of International Operations, said: “Besides reputability and success, it is critical that our business in the UK continues to maintain high standards and complies with the industry rules and regulations. Having acquired three of our UK brands in recent months and years, we need to ensure that we have a completely streamlined system, positive customer relationships and a healthy work culture. By employing a new compliance manager, we are demonstrating our commitment to keeping our company intact through policy enforcement and program planning. We welcome Graham to our family and look forward to seeing how our business can increase opportunities, improve efficiencies and overcome the most demanding challenges of modern business.”

Graham Garratt-Lang, commented: “I’m really looking forward to implementing an effective and successful compliance function at Neighbourly and to bringing the core processes under one umbrella. I will also be responsible for driving positive behaviours and consistency across our six brands in the UK.  It’s great to have joined such an exciting organisation, which is continually growing and looking for new opportunities in franchising.”

Prior to Neighbourly, Graham worked for several years in compliance and health & safety at VPS Grounds Service, a grounds maintenance company, and has a proven ability to understand processes and systems and apply them effectively to operations.
