Legal services firm reveals growth plans

Franchise company X-Press Legal Services, the property search and report specialist has announced plans to expand its franchise network significantly in the coming years. The announcement follows a £750,000 investment into IT and the launch of several new online services.

X-Press Legal was formed in 1998 by husband and wife team Dave and Lynne Lister and became a franchise is 2005. Having enjoyed steady growth since then, the firm now supplies reports to 500 legal practices nationwide, via 24 franchises. The latest announcement sets forth plans to expand that franchise network by 30%, between now and 2021.

The company provides property data to solicitors and conveyancing professionals, which include a range of risk areas such as flooding, environmental, HS2 and chancel repair to name but a few.

With regard to expanding the business, managing director Lynne Lister said, “The recent investment in IT has formed a significant part of our strategic plans for growth.

“In order to deliver the very best service to our clients and our franchisees, we have to remain ahead of the curve; our new systems allow us to do that.

“We pride ourselves on delivering a highly personalised service to our conveyancing practice clients but this has to be backed up with super-efficient reporting.”

Expansion has already begun, with the addition of some new products being released. These services, combined with the recent investment into IT infrastructure, have gone a long way towards securing their position at the forefront of the industry.
