Midlands kids club on the up with record breaking year

Fun Fest Holiday Club is the brainchild of Sarah Beattie, who set up the business a decade ago, and has in the past year seen the blueprint adopted as far south as Kent and North as far as Lancashire.

Sarah, originally set up the club a decade ago, and having helped set up franchises elsewhere in the region, such as Sutton Coldfield, Lichfield and Harborne, she continues to expand the business. There will be 20 venues across the country by the end of the year with Oxford, Luton, Harrow and North London due to open in the autumn.

“We are delighted with the way business is going and the expansion of Fun Fest Holiday Clubs shows that there is a real appetite for a venture where the needs of children are properly addressed, at a time when their parents are working harder than ever,” she said.

The mother-of-three, whose business is based on offering children a more diverse choice of activities than what is generally on offer in school holiday camps said that children were becoming more discerning as customers and Fun Fest has tapped into this.

“Holiday clubs can be difficult for some children who feel they don’t have the range of activities to keep them stimulated,” she said. “It can especially be frustrating for those who may enjoy being outdoors but maybe not sport,” she added. “Therefore, we’ve devised a club empowering children with a wide range of choices about what they do in their holidays, to have fun, and make new friendships,” she said.

Activities include a Harry Potter experience, incorporating potions and spells, as well as an adaptation of the TV programme, I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here, entitled I’m A Kid Get Me Out Of Here. There are also a wide range of other imaginative options as well as many sports, all in the curriculum of 50 activities on offer.

“We are delighted that we are growing so rapidly and look forward to continuing to offer children a programme that is so in tune with their interests and offers parents the support they need” she added.
