FRANCHISEE DESCRIBES DISCOVERING ‘FLOURISHING’ BUSINESS MODEL AT BIRMINGHAM’S NEC
PAUL Brown found a business model that can ‘really flourish’ at the National Franchise Exhibition in Birmingham.
The director of Dream Doors Bath joined the UK’s #1 kitchen makeover company two years ago after meeting the company’s recruitment director at the NEC.
After being made redundant from a senior sales position, Paul said he was attracted to Dream Doors because he felt it was a ‘great concept’ that can withstand downturns in the economy.
Paul said: “I heard an advert on the radio for Dream Doors and I did think what a great concept it was.
“Having done some research, I felt franchising was going to be the safest way for me to dip my toe in the water of running my own business.
“Then, after my redundancy came up, I went to the National Franchise Exhibition at the NEC in Birmingham and met with Alex Waite, Dream Doors’ recruitment director.
“He had loads of energy and didn’t push any kind of ‘hard sell’. It was obvious that it was not just about selling another franchise to get the fee; Dream Doors is really looking for the right business partnership.
“I was impressed by Dream Doors’ professionalism and, even though it was only a £30million a year business at that point, it felt much bigger and better than that already.
“Getting to meet Alex face to face played a big part in convincing me of my choice.”
Paul added: “Ultimately, I was attracted to Dream Doors because I thought it was a great concept. I felt like it was something that could survive a downturn in the economy, it could probably even really flourish during a downturn.”
Dream Doors is looking for more talented franchisees like Paul who are ready to generate huge profits by representing an industry-leading brand.
There are just 19 new franchise territories available nationwide, particularly in the North East, North West, Yorkshire and Scotland.
Meet the Dream Doors recruitment team at the NEC in Birmingham on Friday, October 4 and Saturday 5.
