When Child’s Play Becomes Serious Business
A £600K turnover with 3-figure net profits for working 11-14 weeks per year – don’t underestimate what you can achieve with a ‘children’s’ or a ‘lifestyle’ franchise
Mixing slime, baking a cake, building a den, designing a T-shirt, completing a mission or having a dance-off! – Fun Fest understands how to provide children with the choice, freedom and fun which make school holidays so special.
This playful, fun aspect remains central to the appeal of a Fun Fest franchise as does its seasonal nature, making it more flexible for franchisees juggling other commitments.
Since its launch in 2017, the Fun Fest network has matured and produced a cohort of ‘expanding’ franchisees who are pushing the boundaries of what can be achieved:
Helen (Hartford Grange, Hartford Manor, Great Budworth, Altrincham, Cheadle Bolshaw, Cheadle Heath & Stockport Bramhall)
Helen has trailblazed new levels of expansion with ambition and determination, demonstrating what a Fun Fest franchise can deliver. Starting with a single club 5 years ago, Helen launches her 7th club across 3 territories this summer, resulting in a £500k+ turnover business. With a core management structure in place, quality remains her number 1 priority and with the purchase of a fourth territory underway, Helen is not finished yet!
Gabriella (Stockport Marple & Oldham)
24-year-old Gabriella’s role as Club Manager whilst completing her teaching qualification gave her the confidence to apply for her own Fun Fest franchise, leading to the successful launch of her first club last summer. Following Helen’s example, she has not let the grass grow under her feet but is already expanding rapidly with her second club opening this summer.
Leanne (Chorley Euxton, Eccleston & Preston)
After establishing her first two clubs alongside her term-time job, the launch of her third club gave Leanne the financial stability she required to be able to achieve her ambition of stepping away from her teaching role to be her own boss! Leanne’s success didn’t happen overnight but shows what can also be achieved by making steady and measured progress.
Jag (St Albans, St Albans Abbey, Goff’s Oak & Potters Bar)
Jag, on the other hand, had big ideas right from the start – his ambition was to start a Fun Fest empire which is exactly what he is doing in this part of Hertfordshire!
Remember that with the right mindset, you can make your franchise whatever you want it to be!
