Tezlom Embraces World Mental Health Day with A PAUSE
Tezlom, a leading healthcare recruitment franchise whose head office is in Southport, celebrated World Mental Health Day by prioritising employee wellbeing. The day began with the team wearing green in support of mental health awareness and concluded with a guided meditation and breathwork session led by Kay Lou, Group Brand Manager. Kay Lou is also a recognised breath coach, and the session was carefully curated to help the team take a meaningful pause, allowing staff to step away from their desks for 30 minutes to recharge and refocus.
In a special transformation, Tezlom’s podcast studio was converted into a ‘Zen Den,’ creating an environment of calm and relaxation. Staff enjoyed the session and welcomed a little ‘calm by candlelight’ which focused on mindfulness and breathing techniques. This initiative reflects Tezlom’s commitment to fostering a culture where mental health and self-care are a top priority, especially in the fast-paced world of healthcare recruitment.
World Mental Health Day, and the entire month of October, holds great importance for Tezlom as the company consistently aims to ensure the team is taking care of one another. Through initiatives like this, Tezlom is setting an example of how workplace wellness can be an integral part of corporate culture.
Chloe, Business Development Manager at Tezlom, shared how the session impacted her:
Jake, Principal Consultant, added: “ Today we were fortunate enough to have the wonderful Kay do a breathwork class with us. It was fun, relaxing, calming and allowed us to get back in touch with our emotions and feelings, and ultimately lifted the overall mood in the workplace.’
The initiative reflects Tezlom’s broader approach to mental health, recognising that it is essential for everyone to take time for themselves, even in a busy work environment. As companies across the globe celebrate World Mental Health Day, Tezlom continues to lead by example, encouraging other organisations to prioritise workplace wellness not just on this day, but throughout the year.
