Finalists named in the 35th BFA HSBC UK British Franchise Awards

The British Franchise Association (BFA) has announced the finalists in the BFA HSBC UK British Franchise Awards 2024. The awards are celebrating their 35th anniversary this year, having been founded in 1989.

The BFA, with its tag line of ‘Discover Your Tomorrow’ is widely recognised as the UK’s self-regulatory body for franchising. After a thorough assessment of their franchise opportunity, members must abide by the associations code of conduct, ensuring their franchise is run along professional and ethical lines. They currently have over 300 members listed on their website.

The awards are sponsored by HSBC UK. UK Head of Franchise Gillian Morris said: “Franchising makes a major contribution to the UK economy and it’s only right that we recognise the hard work, commitment and drive of the people making their mark throughout the franchise sector. That’s why we’re so proud to be sponsoring the British Franchise Awards again for the 35th year. Personally, it’s a real honour to play my part in judging the awards and selecting the finalists and winners from so many brilliant entries.”

2024 saw an 11% increase in brands entering the awards compared to 2023 and a 27% increase in entries overall. In total 54 brands and individuals have made it through to the finals. Winners will be revealed at a black-tie dinner in Telford on Thursday 7th November 2024 following the association’s annual conference.

Congratulations to each and every one of you who have made the finals; this is in itself a huge achievement and one you should be extremely proud of.  The team and I look forward to seeing you in November.”

Gillian Morris said: “My heartfelt congratulations to the deserving finalists in this year’s British Franchise Awards. Shortlisting the entries and choosing the finalists is one of the toughest challenges of my year but it’s one I love. I was truly inspired by the brilliant businesses amongst this year’s entrants and the finalists really do represent the best of British franchising.”
