Walfinch Franchisee Launches in Norwich to Care for People at Home

With an established and successful Walfinch homecare business in Suffolk, registered manager Sarah Wickham has announced the launch of her second Walfinch franchise, which is based on Queens Road in Norwich, Norfolk.

ith over 25 years’ experience in the care industry, Sarah was named as the franchisee whose team provided the most care hours at the Walfinch franchise conference. Sarah was the very first Walfinch franchisee to have established the Walfinch Suffolk Coastal business. Last year, Walfinch Suffolk Coastal turned over £850K, it has employed more than 50 carers and is rated ‘Good’ by the industry regulator, CQC. Identifying a demand for quality home-based care services in Norwich, Sarah took the decision to launch her second Walfinch franchise.

Sarah says:

“I’ve worked in the care sector for more than two decades and have formed many contacts and connections across East Anglia, and I could clearly see a gap in providing the people of Norwich with a flexible, friendly homecare service. Following the success of my Suffolk Coastal business, it makes sense to extend these services to Norfolk, and I’ve already started to receive great interest from people looking for friendly care for both themselves and their families.”

Life as a Walfinch franchisee provides an opportunity to lead your own successful business as Managing Director while supporting a team of carers in helping local people lead healthy, happy, independent lives. It is an opportunity to take charge of your own success supported by the expertise of a franchisor that provides comprehensive training, ongoing support, proven back-office systems, and an established referrals pipeline.

Sarah concludes:

“People really like the idea of being able to remain in their own homes while receiving the care they need; I want people in Norwich to know that they can pick up the phone any time and speak with a team of local carers who can help, from as little as one-hour care per week. I am delighted to expand my business into Norfolk and will be working hard to deliver an outstanding service that we can all be proud of.”

The minimum investment for a Walfinch franchise is £27,000 + VAT, plus working capital of £60,000 (totalling £90,000). Walfinch is able to introduce interested parties to franchise funding specialists.
