Walfinch Celebrated as a Top 100 Franchise

Home care provider Walfinch is celebrating after being named one of the UK’s top franchise opportunities. From hundreds of entries across every sector, Walfinch has been ranked 60 overall in the prestigious Elite Franchise Top 100 (EF100) – a title it will hold for the duration of 2023.

Walfinch was set up as a franchise at the end of 2019 by experienced home care operator, CEO Amrit Dhaliwal.

He confirms: “Although Walfinch has all the credentials and experience behind the brand, the company is actually less than three years old. To have reached the Elite Franchise Top 100 in such a short time is an amazing achievement and a testament to the calibre and hard work of our exceptional team.

“Our people are the secret of our success.  With well over 150 years’ experience in care across just our senior head office staff, we have been able to support our 26 franchisees throughout the UK to build their businesses quickly, employ the best carers and make a meaningful contribution to their communities at the same time.  We are delighted Walfinch has been recognised in this way and we look forward to next year where we will aim even higher!”

The EF100, established in 2017 in association with HSBC, is the franchising list to watch. It recognises the sector’s brightest businesses and ranks them according to a broad range of criteria; from their financial performance and heritage to their contribution to the community and the way they embrace innovation.

The franchise industry contributes over £ 17 billion to the UK economy and more than 700,000 people are employed in franchising across the country. Despite a difficult economic climate, the last 12 months has seen franchise brands like Walfinch thrive thanks to its robust infrastructure, mentor support and proven business models.

Scott English, Brand Director of Elite Franchise, said:

“We feel that Walfinch has well and truly earned their place in the Elite Franchise Top 100 list. This definitive league table of the Top 100 Franchises shows just what Britain has to offer. Each year, the ranking becomes more competitive, and this year has been no exception for our panel of industry-leading judges.

“At EF100 we take into account entrants’ sales and growth figures as well as the training and support systems in place for their network of franchisees. This year, brands were also judged on any measures they initiated to survive the challenges of 2021, along with ambitions and growth targets for the next financial year. Achieving this position is a testament to all that Walfinch has achieved – they have consistently demonstrated a gold-standard level of franchising.”

Amrit Dhaliwal concludes:

“Walfinch was launched to meet the massive demands for home-based care; with an ageing population, we provide a valuable, service, in a growing industry. This enables our franchisees to have a genuine chance of making a meaningful contribution to their community, offering people an alternative to care homes, while establishing a successful franchised business.

“The team at Walfinch is proud to not only provide an exemplary home-based care service but to now be named as an award-winning business opportunity for ambitious entrepreneurs is something we should all be very proud of.”
