Walfinch CEO to present at UK Care Week Conference

Amrit Dhaliwal, chief executive officer of homecare franchise network Walfinch, is confirmed as a speaker at the UK Care Week conference, where he will discuss why the time is now for a homecare revolution, in order to attract more people into a life-long career in care.

The two-day event (22-23 March 2023) aims to bring together the care community to address the biggest challenges facing the care sector, and to celebrate the talent of care workers and hold a collective voice for change.

As part of the event’s ‘Workforce and Recruitment’ theatre, Amrit will reveal how he believes that a quiet and long overdue revolution is coming to the homecare sector, which will help make a long-term career in care become an increasingly attractive proposition.

Amrit explains:

“I truly believe that the image of care needs to be transformed, from being considered a ‘distress purchase’ to instead something we positively plan for. The way this will be achieved starts from the roots up, with the key foundation as our investment and focus on our skilled and professional carers. We also need to create a career that is fun, compensated correctly and one that gives them what is needed to deliver a service based on quality and quantity.

“I will discuss my views on what needs to happen as part of this revolution at the UK Care Week Conference in March, and I look forward to meeting as many delegates as possible.”

Amrit’s session is taking place on 22 March 2023 at 12:30 pm in the Workforce and Recruitment Theatre.
