The founder of HonestBrew.co.uk shares how a personal touch helped him to create an online empire at The British & International Franchise Exhibition

Ambitious entrepreneur Andrew Reeve has gone from homebrewing in his kitchen to launching his own business, shifting over 600 boxes of beer daily.,HonestBrew.co.uk’s innovative delivery service has gone on to transform the way people are discovering craft beer. Andrew will be sharing his secrets of how to tap into the popular craft beer movement at the Growing Your Own Business Conference at The British & International Franchise Exhibition, taking place at London’s Olympia on 20 and 21 January 2017.

After moving to the UK from New Zealand, Andrew began brewing craft beer for his friends to try. He realised that people were interested in the experience of trying new beers and talking about brewers. It was from here that the 28-year-old identified the market potential for what is now HonestBrew.co.uk.

The London-based business, which offers personalised subscription packages, saw the demand for its services within just a few months of launching. On its success, Andrew comments: “I identified a gap in the market for personalised sales online. Our idea is to connect people to brewers, offering a service that people value. We provide a combination of personalisation and range, which is something no other company does. We are passionate about helping our customers expand their experience of beers and revolutionising the way we consume craft beer.”

Andrew will be delivering a keynote speech at the Growing Your Own Business Conference, incorporated within The British & International Franchise Exhibition. He will offer exclusive advice on how a business’s connection to the customer can affect scale and what it takes to succeed as a business owner.

Andrew comments: “Owning your own business is really an investment in yourself and what you’re passionate about. It is the most rewarding experience to see people engaging with what you believe in, and watching your product make a difference to the market. What makes franchising such a viable option for people starting out in business is its ability to connect entrepreneurs to their business goals. People can pursue a career they’re enthusiastic about while learning valuable industry skills and having the security of a proven business model to help them succeed.”

Commenting on the recent renaissance of craft beer in the UK, Andrew adds: “It’s amazing to see how fast the industry is growing. The UK has pushed its way to the forefront of craft beer brewing and is now a rival to many of the European leaders. People now want more from what they drink, not just big-name brands, and we offer an outlet to discover new tastes. What we do contributes to the freedom of choice and accessibility to the craft beer industry so we like to think we’re helping this renaissance thrive.”
