easyGroup’s Communications Director to deliver keynote presentation at The British & International Franchise Exhibition

Aspiring entrepreneurs will come together at The British & International Franchise Exhibition at Olympia London on 9 & 10 March to be inspired by a wide range of business opportunities and speakers.

Among those delivering the programme of 60+ free presentations is Richard Shackleton, Communications Director for easyGroup.

easyGroup is the private investment vehicle of Sir Stelios Haji-Ioannou, the creator and owner of the easy family of brands including easyJet, easyHotel, easyCoffee and easyGym.

Richard has been the Communications Director for easyGroup since 2012, and he is Sir Stelios’ official media spokesman. His career as a media relations professional spans 20 years, having previously worked for Merrill Lynch, Barclays and several public relations agencies as well as the Conservative Party.

On Friday 9 March, Richard will reveal to audiences how the power of a big brand can facilitate entrepreneurs on their journey to business ownership and success across the globe. He will talk through the origin of the easy brand and its development history, also giving insight into the exciting future ahead, and the opportunity it offers.

Richard comments: “A key ingredient in the success of the franchise business model is that franchisees are given access to the influence of an established and well-known brand. They can leverage the consumer’s familiarity with and confidence in an existing brand, leading to a quicker route to sales and income for their own franchise business.

“I look forward to sharing insights into the potential of a well-executed brand strategy, and the success it can bring to ambitious entrepreneurs.”

A must-attend event for anyone with an interest in franchising, the exhibition offers the chance to explore a vast range of franchise brands, including event sponsor, Fitness Space, and names such as Platinum Property Partners, Radfield Home Care and McDonald’s. This combines with a goldmine of expert advice available on all aspects of selecting, financing, launching and growing a thriving franchise business.
