A-Star Sports Lives La Vida Local With Exciting New Community Initiatives
In line with its policy of connecting with the communities in which it operates, A-Star Sports, the multi-sports coaching franchise business, has launched new initiatives to create greater positive local impact.
The award-winning UK-wide company, which offers coaching for children as young as two years old and up to 10 years old, is turning its attention to community partnerships following the success of major alliances with household-name nationwide companies. Recently it has run UK-wide promotions with Carphone Warehouse, the leading mobile phone retailer, and has teamed up with Vertigo Films as a brand partner for the fun football film The Unbeatables.
Now, to encourage children to keep up healthy living and physical activity where they live, A-Star Sports has joined forces with Gambado, the UK’s ultimate indoor playcentre, offering classes at Gambado Fountainpark in Edinburgh.
The deal includes free extras such as an hour’s free soft play after the A-Star Sports session, free parking for four hours and 10% off the entry fee to the centre at any other time with the A-Star Sports card.
And in Chester, the A-Star Sports team is now a member of the Funds4Clubs scheme run by Walker Smith Way Legal to try and meet the growing demand of its community support programme, which helps nurseries, pre-schools, schools, local clubs and groups.
If customers require legal services and use the Funds4Clubs scheme, Walker Smith Way Legal will make a donation to the local A-Star Sports community support programme. Funds raised will only be used to support community support programme events.
Sharon Bassett, the company’s director of marketing and communications and co-founder, said: “A-Star Sports has built excellent relationships with the parents and the children in the areas in which it is active in the UK and these locally-based initiatives are an important further step.
The children who attend our classes are really motivated and enthusiastic and part of a healthy life is community involvement. We will continue to partner with major enterprises, but we are also very keen to explore the possibilities more in our local areas.” – Sharon Bassett, Co-Founder
A-Star Sports, now has 16 centres throughout the UK, offering fun-filled sessions which coach very young children to play individually, in games with a partner or in teams. To learn more, visit our FranchiseInfo profile page.
