Tom Finds Driver Hire Franchise Very Arresting
A former police officer, Tom Edwards, is the newest recruit to Driver Hire’s 100-strong office network.
Tom Edwards has just completed the purchase of the specialist recruiter’s Maidstone & Medway franchise. Running a Driver Hire recruitment business isn’t Tom’s first foray into self employment. Prior to working as a front-line officer for the Sussex Police, he managed a cafe franchise.
I enjoyed the challenge of running my own business and was keen to get back into it,” says Tom. “I researched the franchise sales market and found Driver Hire. The more I looked into it, the more I could see that this was a well structured business. “In addition,” he continues, “I’d also had some past experience in the road transport industry, so it was a natural fit.
The Driver Hire business model gives me every opportunity to succeed”
Driver Hire’s network covers the whole of the UK. Its 100 offices supply temporary and permanent drivers and other logistics staff to both local and national businesses.
They help when customers need extra staff to deal with holidays, illness, peak trading periods or business expansion.
As well as the core recruitment business, over the coming months Tom will be adding additional services to his roster.
These include industry essential Driver CPC training and ‘dh Licence Check’, Driver Hire’s increasingly popular online licence checking service.
The Driver Hire business model gives me every opportunity to succeed,” says Tom. “There are a whole host of opportunities for me to grow the business further. I’m really looking forward to the challenge.
Tom will be working alongside long-standing members of staff Jane Latter and Heidi Davies.
